Annual General Meeting 2026

We’d love you to join us for an enjoyable evening of conservation and community at the Friends of Glenfern Valley Bushlands Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 8 October 2026, from 7:00pm.

The evening will start with a light supper and an inspiring presentation from Callum Clarke, Co-founder of Urban Guerillas, who will explore “Getting young people into conservation volunteering”.

Cal will tell us about his initiative to engage young people with environmental volunteering. Upwey locals might recognise Urban Guerillas as the organisation behind the recent bush restoration at Brooking Street Reserve.

Afterwards, we will hold our AGM where we reflect on the achievements of the past year, hear the reports, and elect the committee for 2026–2027. We will finish up with a brief committee meeting.

Most importantly, it’s a chance to catch up with fellow bushland supporters, celebrate what we’ve achieved together, and look ahead to another year of caring for and enjoying Glenfern Valley Bushlands.

This year, we’re heading to a new venue — the Blue Hills Hall / Sherbrooke U3A Hall in Upwey, which is near the skatepark and just two halls down from the Upwey Township Hall. Please note the change of venue, as the UT Hall is not available this year.

We hope you can join us for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. We look forward to seeing you there. 🌿
